Safer Internet Day 2019 Celebrated in Nawalparasi
The Safer Internet Day 2019 was celebrated in Nawalparasi on February 5, 2019 with the slogan of “Together For A Better Internet” in collaboration with Youth for change Nepal, Better Nawalparasi and Jagriti Child and Youth Concern (JCYCN).
Organizer of the programme, Deepak Sharma said, “The programme was organized to raise awareness among teenagers and youth about cyber crimes and misuses of the internet.”
According to the president of Youth Nepal Raju Chapagain, students and teachers from Bhimsen Secondary School, Prithvi Secondary School and Sakala Secondary School participated in the programme.
Participants of the programme shared information on making the internet safer and protecting children and young people from online abuse and exploitation. During the programme, 300 school students pledged for safer use of the internet, by signing on a banner with a title, “I am committed to use the internet safely”.
